About

From Stanfield, Oregon

I grew up in rural eastern Oregon and completed my Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer at Blue Mountain Community College before transferring to the University of Oregon. I discovered a passion for writing in community college and decided to pursue a journalism degree, with the hopes of becoming a sports writer. I received my bachelor’s in journalism degree from the UO, graduating in the School of Journalism and Communication.

Through my time at Oregon, I was involved with the sports section of the local college radio station, KWVA, as well as the SOJC Track Bureau. I had the opportunity to cover most major track and field competitions at Hayward Field, including the World Athletics Championships, with my time in the SOJC Track Bureau.

Since graduation, I relocated to Portland, Oregon, and began a full-time position with Pamplin Media Group in a sports reporter position covering preps until January 2025.
