  • Full-time prep reporter providing coverage on 12 schools in the Woodburn, Newberg, Canby and Molalla areas. 

  • Responsibilities include game day coverage, feature writing, assisting with ad products and budgeting print products.

  • Published in the Woodburn Independent, Newberg Graphic, Canby Herald and Molalla Pioneer.

  • Note: Pamplin Media Group was bought by Carpenter Media Group in June 2024. My responsibilities remained the same.

SOJC Track Bureau, University of Oregon, April - July 2022

  • Full-time reporter providing deadline coverage for national and international publications on the NCAA Championships, Prefontaine Classic, USATF Outdoor Nationals and the World Athletics Championships.

  • Conducted post-competition video interviews with athletes for distribution to national and international media at the Prefontaine Classic, USATF Outdoor Nationals and World Athletics Championships.

    • Freelanced for national publications, including DyeStat.com, RunnerSpace and World Athletics. 

  • Oversaw the SOJC Track Bureau’s Twitter during the world championships, tweeting out stories and updates from our eight-person team.

  • Media Appearances: Appeared on three local news broadcasts to discuss my experience with the SOJC Track Bureau:

    • KGW, a news station based in Portland, Oregon.

    • Think Out Loud, a daily public affairs talk show on the Oregon Public Broadcasting network.

    • SOJC Students Take on the Worlds, a multimedia story published by the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. 

KWVA 88.1 FM, University of Oregon, Sept. 2020 - Oct. 2021

  • Reported on Oregon athletics for the local college station, including women’s basketball, softball, baseball, and volleyball.

  • Crafted audio and written stories on deadline.

  • Live-tweeted from KWVA’s Twitter during competitions. 

  • Participated in the station’s daily radio show, QuackSmack.
